E-commerce company Amazon Inc, the parent firm of Amazon Seller Services, has invested about $200 million in the company running the marketplace in India, according to a regulatory filing..

The Indian entity allotted 1.66 billion shares of ₹10 each to Amazon Corporate Holdings Ltd and Amazon.com Inc. in lieu of the funds, Amazon Seller Services said in the filing dated 15 April.

Amazon had invested ₹830 crore in the marketplace entity in January and another ₹350 crore in the entity running its fintech wing, Amazon Pay.
