Indian unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) and drone maker IdeaForge Technology Ltd announced a strategic investment and partnership with Silicon Valley-based Vantage Robotics, Inc. Vantage specializes in nano (weighing up to 250 gm) and micro (weighing up to 2 kg) unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

The partnership, which includes an investment that some media reports pegged at about $2 million, will allow both companies to build on each other’s technological advancements to develop and launch new, highly advanced nano and micro drone solutions for the defense and enterprise applications market worth about $1 billion.

The tie-up will also help Indian drone makers complete their intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance solution offerings and offer nano and tactical drones to end users.

This partnership will open the North American market for IdeaForge and boost the Californian unmanned aircraft systems maker’s delivery capabilities, the companies said.

The Californian Vantage Robotics also offers innovative drone ground control stations and micro-gimbal camera subsystems.

IdeaForge is expanding internationally with UAVs compliant with the NDAA Section 848, which ensures drones meet US security standards, through a strategic investment in Vantage Robotics.

The move strengthens their commitment to developing a worldwide drone ecosystem, focusing on nano and micro drones for both civilian and military use to speed up their introduction to the market.

Renowned in India for small UAVs known for their efficiency, reliability, and autonomous operation, IdeaForge will integrate Vantage’s specialized nano and micro drones into their portfolio.
