Hero MotoCorp is gearing up to ride into Germany, France, Spain, and the United Kingdom in the second quarter of FY26, as part of what executive chairman Pawan Munjal called in the company’s annual report as a “bold global expansion roadmap.”
The move marks a bold step in the two-wheeler giant’s global ambitions, with Hero also planning to expand into Brazil and strengthen its presence in Africa later this year, as part of what Munjal described as “the next era of mobility without boundaries.”
The world’s largest two-wheeler maker by volume, Hero posted record revenue and profit in FY25 as total consolidated income rose to ₹41,967 crore, up from ₹38,643 crore a year ago, while net profit climbed nearly 16% to ₹4,611 crore.
Hero closed FY25 with record financial performance. Consolidated revenue climbed to ₹41,967 crore, up from ₹38,643 crore the previous year, while net profit rose nearly 16% to ₹4,611 crore.
Export volumes grew 43% year-on-year, backed by strong demand in South Asia, Latin America, and the Philippines, where Hero debuted during the year.
Acting chief executive officer Vikram S. Kasbekar struck a confident note, pointing to a favorable macroeconomic backdrop, resilient rural demand, and an expanding premium and electric portfolio as pillars of growth for FY 2025–26.
Hero’s premium strategy continued to pay off, with the Xtreme 250R and Xpulse 210 winning over younger riders, while its Harley-Davidson co-developed X440 gained traction in the midsize segment.
Electric mobility is emerging as another key pillar: VIDA, Hero’s electric brand, saw sales triple, backed by expanded distribution and more than 50,000 EVs produced at the Tirupati plant.
Sustainability achievements featured prominently in the report, with Hero claiming 45% progress toward carbon neutrality by 2030, 500% water positivity, and continued inclusion in both the Dow Jones Sustainability Index World and Emerging Markets.
The company also notched key operational milestones, with its Haridwar plant crossing 35 million cumulative vehicles produced and its Halol plant surpassing 5 million.
Hero MotoSports added a touch of global prestige, becoming the first Indian manufacturer to win the FIM World Rally-Raid Championship.
Internally, Hero advanced its diversity agenda, raising women’s representation in its workforce to 13.2% and reaffirming its target of 30% by 2030. Its corporate social responsibility programs reached over 840,000 beneficiaries during the year.
