Japanese consumer electronics brand announced its re-entry with the launch of its made-in-India 40-inch QLED television set
Japanese consumer electronics brand Japan Victor Co. (JVC) has announced its re-entry into the Indian market with the launch of its made-in-India 40-inch QLED television set.
JVC has re-entered through a brand license agreement with Super Plastronics Pvt. Ltd (SPPL).
This collaboration allows SPPL, which manages global brands such as Thompson and Kodak, to manufacture JVC’s range of smart QLED televisions in India.
“As we continue to innovate and cater to the evolving needs of the Indian market, our target is to achieve ₹500 crore in the next three years, with a focus on expanding our portfolio and enhancing consumer engagement,” Pallavi Singh, country representative of JVC TV India, said.
The QLED series offers seven display sizes, from 32 inches to 75 inches, with prices starting from Rs11,999. The TV sets will be available on Amazon India from 14 January during the e-commerce platform’s Republic Day Sale.
“We are thrilled to introduce JVC’s cutting-edge television range to Indian consumers. India is one of the fastest-growing markets in the world, and we believe our innovative, high-quality products will resonate with local consumers who seek immersive entertainment experiences at home,” Singh said.
The JVC QLED TVs will run on the Google TV platform, called the AI vision series, with up to 4K UHD resolution and a 60 Hz refresh rate, supporting HDR10.
JVC was involved in the Indian market through various partnerships and product offerings, including Onida Electronics and Veira Group.
