Vivek Biyani launches retail chain Broadway
Actor-entrepreneur Rana Daggubati, Apurva Salarpuria of Salarpuria Group, and property consultant Anarock have invested in Broadway
Vivek Biyani, the nephew of retail veteran Kishore Biyani, has announced the launch of a direct-to-consumer (D2C) brand retail chain dubbed Broadway.
Think9, an investment firm founded by Kishore Biyani’s daughters–Avni Biyani Jhunjhunwala and Ashni Biyani–is behind the retail chain, which will house new-age brands across health, wellness, personal care, lifestyle, fashion, and food and beverages.
Broadway, whose first store will open in Delhi next month, followed by launches in Hyderabad and Mumbai, respectively, will launch standalone stores and also house their outlets in malls.
Aqualogica, DermaCo, Minimalist, Belief, Suta, Kapiva, Oziva, and The Good Bug will be among the brands that will be offered at Broadway stores.
Actor-entrepreneur Rana Daggubati, Apurva Salarpuria of Salarpuria Group, and property consultant Anarock have invested in Broadway.
“Imagine a store that brings all your favourite digital brands to life, under one roof. That’s Broadway – a one-sop shop for over 100 digital-first brands,” ApurvSalarpuria, executive director at Salarpuria Group, said in a LinkedIn post.
Customers can also watch live shows, including fashion shows, at the stores, which will be designed by Malherbe Paris, which has designed for global fashion brands such as Dior, Sephora, and Givenchy.
The younger Biyani worked for his uncle’s now-defunct Future Group retail chain for 15 years, according to his LinkedIn profile. He was involved in running Home Town and Ezone’s furniture, electronics, and home improvement businesses, while also helming the group’s digital initiatives.
