Volvo Cars has selected Tata Technologies as a strategic partner for product engineering, embedded software, and product lifecycle management (PLM) services, the India firm said in a statement to the exchanges.

Tata Technologies will support Volvo from global locations, including its Automotive Centre of Excellence in Gothenburg and facilities in India, Romania, and Poland, the statement said.

The partnership aligns with Volvo’s push toward electric and software-defined vehicles and enhanced in-car systems, the note said, adding that Volvo aims to deliver safe, personal, and sustainable mobility as part of its long-term electrification and sustainability goals.

“We are delighted by the trust that Volvo Cars has shown in our capabilities by providing newer opportunities to collaborate and scale our relationship,” said Warren Harris, chief executive officer (CEO) and managing director (MD) of Tata Technologies.

“It demonstrates our commitment to delivering top-tier solutions in automotive software and digital engineering to customers worldwide. Aligned with our vision of engineering a better world, we’re excited to support Volvo’s ambitions of crafting intelligent vehicles that enhance safety, sustainability, and user experience,” he added.
