Hindalco unveils new identity, plans $5.2 bn on expansion
The new brand logo features a bold and dynamic ‘H’, with the rebranding aimed at positioning Hindalco as an innovation-driven entity

Aditya Birla Group’s flagship Hindalco Industries Ltd on Thursday unveiled a new brand identity to mark its evolution from a materials supplier to an engineered solutions provider.
The new brand logo features a bold and dynamic ‘H’, with the rebranding aimed at positioning Hindalco as an innovation-driven entity focused on electric mobility, renewable energy, semiconductors, and high-end electronics.
The announcement was made by Aditya Birla Group chairman Kumar Mangalam Birla in the presence of industry leaders, policymakers, and business partners.
“Today, Hindalco is a mini conglomerate in itself, with 52 plants across 10 countries producing a diverse portfolio of high-quality products that contribute to the global economy,” Birla said.
He also said the company committed Rs45,000 crore (nearly $5.2 billion) across aluminum, copper, and specialty alumina businesses to develop upstream and high-precision engineered products.
“Hindalco’s new identity reflects our role as a catalyst for change, a problem solver, and a co-creator of new solutions that power progress across industries,” he added.
Hindalco managing director Satish Pai talked about the significance of this transformation.
“This marks a pivotal moment in Hindalco’s journey as we transition from a metals manufacturer to an innovation-driven solutions provider,” Pai said. “Our investments in advanced materials, circular economy solutions, and cutting-edge applications will redefine manufacturing in India and beyond. The new brand identity, ‘Engineering Better Futures’, reflects our core principles: Sustainability, Circularity, Durability, and Precision Engineering.”
The company is actively expanding its impact across industries. In the automotive sector, Hindalco’s lightweight materials improve efficiency and sustainability. In packaging, it is developing circular solutions to improve recyclability.
The company is also collaborating with battery manufacturers on specialized aluminium and copper materials for energy storage solutions. In aerospace and defense, Hindalco has supplied high-performance materials for ISRO’s Chandrayaan and Mangalyaan missions.
Sustainability is central to Hindalco’s transformation, the company said. It has launched India’s first e-waste recycling plant under Birla Copper and is developing a 100MW renewable energy project in Odisha, integrating wind, solar, and hydro storage.
Hindalco has also been recognized as the World’s Most Sustainable Aluminium Company in the S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) rankings for five consecutive years.
