Gupta has been serving as the director general of NCAER, India’s largest economic policy think tank, since 2021. She is also a member of the Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister and serves as the convener of the Advisory Council to the 16th Finance Commission

The manufacturing units of Indian Railways were all fired up in the past fiscal as they churned out 1,681 locomotives during the year, a 19% jump from the previous fiscal. 

The European Commission has slapped fines amounting to €458 million (about $495 million) against 15 major car manufacturers and the European Automobiles Manufacturers’ Association for participating in a long-lasting cartel related to recycling end-of-life vehicles.
