BAFTA Awards: Deepika Padukone joins list of presenters

Indian actor-producer Deepika Padukone will present an award at the 77th British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Awards on Sunday, 18 February.

Padukone posted the full list of presenters as an Instagram story.

Last year, two of the films in which Padukone starred, ‘Pathaan’ and ‘Jawan’, became box office hits.

Padukone will present the awards alongside international celebrities such as football legend David Beckham, singers Dua Lipa and Rita Ora, and actors Cate Blanchett, Hugh Grant, Emma Corrin, and Idris Elba.

This also marks Padukone’s second major international awards appearance in recent months.

In March 2023, at the Academy Awards, Padukone introduced the live performance of Telugu hit number ‘Naatu Naatu’, which won the prize for the best original song.

Held annually, the BAFTAs recognize outstanding achievements in film, television, and games.

The organization also fosters the development of creative talent in the UK and globally.

The 2024 ceremony will take place at London’s Royal Festival Hall for the second consecutive year.
