Bollywood celebrities have long been confined to the silver screen, with very few breaking out into entrepreneurial ventures in the past.

From launching innovative products to investing in a diverse range of brands, celebrities now are making a space for themselves in the entrepreneurial realm with a diverse list of brands with everything ranging from beauty and skincare to fashion and tech.

While established as a leading actress in Bollywood, Deepika Padukone has set her sights on entrepreneurship.

Her skincare brand 82°E, which secured $7.5 million in seed funding, aims to bridge the gap between Ayurvedic traditions and modern science in skincare. The name of the brand itself holds significance, referencing the 82nd degree of east longitude—a meridian line running through India.

The actress has ventured beyond beauty with a diverse business portfolio. Besides co-founding KA Productions, which produced the Meghna Gulzar-directed film ‘Chhapaak’, she has also invested in FMCG brand Epigamia and space tech startup Bellatrix Aerospace.
