Noida International Airport to begin flight ops by April 2025

Noida International Airport is an upcoming greenfield airport at Jewar near Delhi, being developed by Zurich Airport International AG in public-private partnership

Noida International Airport near Delhi is expected to begin commercial operations by the end of April 2025, the company developing the project said.

“In view of the current construction status, we expect to begin commercial operations by the end of April 2025. We are working together with our EPC contractor Tata Projects Limited and with other stakeholders to keep the pace of construction activities and preparations for operational readiness high,” Yamuna International Airport Private Limited (YIAPL) said. 

“We are committed to our goal of delivering a sustainable and world-class airport for Delhi NCR and Uttar Pradesh,” it said.

Noida International Airport is an upcoming greenfield airport at Jewar near Delhi. The airport will enhance connectivity to and from Delhi-NCR, Noida, and Western UP. 

It is being developed by (YIAPL), a 100% subsidiary of Zurich Airport International AG, in partnership with the government of Uttar Pradesh and the central government. 

“Construction and development work at Noida International Airport is at an advanced stage and we continue to pass important milestones on the road to operational readiness. This is a large and complex project, and the next few weeks of construction activities are crucial. Work on the runway, the passenger terminal and the control tower, is well advanced,” YIAPL said. 

Recently, the concessions for ground handling, the operation of commercial areas and important maintenance contracts were awarded. In addition, agreements have been signed with several airlines for flight connections from Noida International Airport,” it added. 

At its opening, the airport will feature one runway and one terminal and handle a capacity of 12 million passengers, with the potential for further development in additional construction phases.
