Who are India’s top startup investors?

Peak XV Partners, formerly Sequoia Capital India and South-East Asia, has emerged as the top startup investor by portfolio size in India with a wide kitty of 37 companies, a recent study showed.

InnoVen Capital, backed by Singapore’s Temasek and UOB Group, comes next with investments across 26 startups, data from the ASK Private Wealth Hurun India Future Unicorn Index 2023 showed. InnoVen is followed by Tiger Global, which has invested in 25 startups, including Ather Energy, Captain Fresh, Bizongo, and Avataar.

The startups listed in the ASK Private Wealth Hurun India Future Unicorn Index 2023 have collectively raised about $18.8 billion thus far, attracting investments from over 300 investors, the study added.
